Our Story
Five Years in the Making
We met and went on our first date in October 2021, and from that moment, our story began. By the time we say “I do,” we will have been together for five wonderful years.
Along the way, we have built a beautiful life together in our home in Silver Lake, California, where we are kept busy by our gorgeous husky, Jenna, and our delightfully naughty cat, Chutki.
Over the years, we have supported each other through many changes and accomplishments, including Amanda’s evolving legal career and Joanna’s transition from nursing to software engineering. Through every challenge, milestone, and adventure, our relationship has continued to grow stronger.
We are incredibly excited to begin this next chapter of our lives together and cannot wait to celebrate our marriage surrounded by the people we love most. Most of all, we look forward to remembering this beautiful day and celebrating it together every year on our anniversary for the rest of our lives.
The Proposal
A Match Made in Heaven
They say the best love stories rarely go exactly according to plan. Amanda and Joanna's engagement story is proof that sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when life has other ideas.
In March 2025, Amanda and Joanna set off for Italy, a trip that would change their lives forever. Their trip began with a less-than-ideal start when they missed their flight to Italy. After a frantic rush through the airport, a kindhearted gate agent helped them get seats on the very next flight. It felt as though someone up above was already looking out for them.
When they finally arrived in Florence, Amanda was carrying a very important secret: she planned to propose. The only problem? She became sick during the trip. Despite feeling miserable, Amanda was determined not to let anything stop her from asking the love of her life to marry her.
One romantic evening along the Arno River, beneath the glow of the Italian lights, Amanda proposed. Through happy tears, she asked Joanna to spend forever with her. Joanna said yes, and in that moment the world seemed to stand still.
But their engagement story wasn't over.
A few days later, in Rome, it was Joanna's turn. She had carefully planned her own proposal at the beautiful Giardino degli Aranci, an orange garden overlooking the Eternal City. There was just one small complication: they got lost on the way there. Eventually, Joanna found the secluded hilltop garden.
With panoramic views of Rome stretching out behind them, Joanna asked Amanda to marry her. Amanda, of course, said yes.
Neither proposal happened exactly as planned. Yet somehow, each twist and detour made the story even more perfect.
What was meant to happen, happened.
Looking back, Amanda and Joanna wouldn't change a thing. Their story reminds them that the best things in life aren't always perfectly planned. Sometimes, they're heaven sent.
And that's why their wedding celebrates what they know to be true: this is, and always has been, a Match Made in Heaven.

Parking
Ample free parking is available on the ranch property. No valet — just follow the signs to the guest parking area.
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft operate in the Camarillo area. We recommend scheduling your return ride in advance, especially for later in the evening.

We're still finalizing the day's schedule and will share exact arrival times here once it's set. In the meantime, we recommend planning to arrive with plenty of time to park and find your seat.
We'd love to see you dressed to celebrate. We kindly request formal attire for the celebration. Guests are welcome to wear Indian formalwear, Western formalwear, or a thoughtful blend of both styles. Black tie optional.
Free parking is available on the ranch property. Please note that if you plan to drink, we strongly encourage arranging a rideshare.
We love your little ones, but our venue space is limited, so we're only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If your children are included, we can't wait to celebrate with them! Please reach out if you have any questions about your invitation.

We truly don't need a thing. Your presence on our wedding day is the only gift we could want. No boxed gifts, please.
